Prof Kate Loveland
Prof Loveland is a research group leader in the Hudson Institute and Deputy Head of Graduate Research, Clinical and Molecular Medicine, Monash University. Her research has focussed on revealing the basis of testicular pathologies with developmental origins by investigating key cell signaling events in germline and somatic cells.
Kate completed a PhD at Duke University (USA) then undertook post-doctoral training in UT Southwestern/Howard Hughes Medical Institute and Monash. She has held NHMRC Fellowships (2000-21), and NHMRC and ARC Project and program grants (1995-2024), and supervised 26 Honours, 43 Masters and PhD students.
Leadership roles include the Hudson Centre for Reproductive Health (2017-2023), International Research Training Group co-leader (2013-23), and ARC Centre of Excellence Deputy Head (2003-10).
She served as SRB Director, Treasurer, and Program Organising Chair and held significant roles in the American Society of Andrology, SSR, and the North American Testis Workshop.
