Dr Brooke Pereira
Dr Brooke Pereira is a Cancer Institute NSW Career Development Fellow and Senior Research Officer at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Conjoint Senior Lecturer at UNSW, and a Fulbright Scholar. Her research focuses on dissecting the pancreatic tumour microenvironment to uncover novel co-targets that improve responses to standard-of-care and emerging therapies. Integrating mass spectrometry-based proteomics, multiphoton intravital imaging, and extracellular matrix (ECM) analyses, she investigates cancer-stroma interactions, the cancer cell secretome, and drivers of therapeutic resistance. A founding executive member of the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Matrix Atlas (APMA) clinical biobank, Dr Pereira's research program is dedicated to translating discovery science into clinical impact for pancreatic cancer patients.
