Dr Dongli Liu is a Senior Research Scientist at the University of New South Wales Ainsworth Endometriosis Research Institute with over 10 years of experience in molecular and cell biology research. Her research focuses on developing patient-derived preclinical models to personalise treatment strategies for gynaecological diseases, including endometriosis, ovarian cancer, and endometrial cancer. She has led several translational research projects using advanced patient-derived model systems, including the UNSW component of the MRFF Drug Repurposing Project, and has secured two consecutive industry-funded contracts with the international pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim. In recognition of her expertise in patient-derived preclinical models and translational research, Dr Liu was appointed to a five-year fellowship at the newly established Ainsworth Endometriosis Research Institute in 2026.
