Dr Nipith Charoenngam

Nipith Charoenngam, MD, is an Endocrinology Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital with research interests in bone and mineral metabolism and population genetics. His research focuses on the genetic basis of disorders affecting bone and mineral metabolism using large-scale genomic and clinical datasets. He developed the Calcium-Sensing Receptor Database (CASRdb; https://casrdb.mgh.harvard.edu/), a resource that catalogs reported variants in the calcium-sensing receptor (CASR) gene to support research and clinical interpretation of CASR-related disorders. His current work includes population-based studies of familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia type 1 (FHH1), as well as research on the genetic heterogeneity of osteoporosis.
