Dr Rose Upton is a reproductive and conservation biologist based at the University of Newcastle. Her research focusses on the development and application of biotechnological technologies for wildlife conservation. Rose has been involved in several initiatives to help advance the application of reproductive technologies, such as sperm cryopreservation and IVF to conservation programs within and outside of Australia. More recently Dr Upton’s research has expanded to explore the impact of environmental stressors, such disease and low genetic diversity, on the reproductive and immunological outputs of declining populations.
